How do I get technical help?

Should I create a support ticket directly on Alarm.com?
No. We are your Alarm.com dealer. Contact us or the forum.
Do I have to sign a lengthy contract?
No, our do-it-yourself alarm monitoring contracts are month-to-month. You can cancel at any time with no cancellation fee. We just ask that you give us notice within 10 days prior to the start of your next month of service.
Can I use alarm equipment that I already own or that I bought elsewhere?
Yes,. We offer monitoring for any Alarm.com compatible equipment such as 2GIG, Interlogix (Simon, Concord 4, NX), DSC and Qolsys.
Do I need a land line telephone?
No, our alarms have a built-in cell communicator and are monitored by cell radio calls. Much more reliable than land lines and cable lines. AT&T, VERIZON and ROGERS radios are available.
Do I need to get another cell phone line to use Alarm.com monitoring?
No, the cost of the cell phone signal usage is included in your monthly service fee
Is there an additional fee to program the equipment?
We offer free programming of all your equipment with the purchase of a panel/radio as long as you order one of our security alarm monitoring packages in the same order. For pre-programming, without purchase of a monitoring plan, there is a charge of $50.00.
How can you afford to do this for such a low price?
The cost of the labor, equipment and commissions are not included on our end. This allows us to provide low cost quality service.
Is Buy2gig liable in any way for break-ins at my house?
No. By doing-it-yourself you are assuming the responsibility and liability for choosing, placing and installing the sensors correctly, ensuring the cell phone connectivity is sufficient, and ensuring alarm signals are correctly being passed through to the central station.
Does Buy2gig pay for or reimburse me for false alarm fees?
No. False alarms are caused by failure to use the system properly, failure to design and install the system properly, or in very rare cases or equipment malfunction. Buy2gig has no control over these matters and does not pay fees for false alarms caused by any of these reasons. When you do it yourself you are taking on these risks and are responsible for preventing your own false alarms along with acquiring any necessary permits for your community.
Will it work in my area?
Our do-it-yourself security alarm monitoring works anywhere in the United States , Canada and Puerto Rico as long as a solid radio signal is available.
What is your return policy?
Orders may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase only if equipment is still in full working order with no visible damage or wear and tear and is returned complete, in the undamaged original packaging.
Do you have technical support available?
Yes. While our emergency central monitoring station is open 24/7, our technical support team’s business hours are from 9:00am to 5:30pm EST Monday through Friday.
